The past few years have taught us that heavy-handed self-absorption can get a little … tiring. But bragging is less of a faux pas when you’re doing it on someone else’s behalf, right? So, who/what are we bragging about today? Three Intouchers recently garnered industry attention, and we thought it would be wrong to not talk about it.
2021 HBA Rising Star
First, Whitney Jappe, an associate director of program management, brand marketing, was recognized as a 2021 Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Rising Star. HBA Rising Stars are professionals in the advertising, biotechnology, market research, medical education, pharmaceutical, and public relations. According to the HBA, “Nominated by the HBA’s Corporate Partners, the Rising Stars represent various career stages and disciplines and have demonstrated noteworthy achievements and proven attention to furthering their careers.” The Rising Stars celebration occurs at the 2021 HBA Woman of the Year on 6 May.
MM+M 40 Under 40
Antonio Rivera is no stranger to these blog pages. As Intouch’s director of inclusion strategy, he’s been making headlines for his work in creating safe spaces for diverse employees to connect and share stories; contributing thoughts on bias to industry blogs; participating in industry panel discussions and more. Honestly, it should surprise no one that MM+M selected him as one of their 2021 40 Under 40.
Ingram’s 50 Kansans You Should Know
Also not surprising is that Intouch EVP Wendy Blackburn made Ingram’s 2021 list of 50 Kansans You Should Know. Before we started working 100% remotely — thanks, pandemic — Wendy had a prominent sign in her office that said, “Work Hard, Be Nice.” She’s consistently applied this mantra for years, and it’s paid off. Along with helping Intouch grow over the life of the business, Wendy has not only built strong connections with other industry leaders across the country, but she’s also given her time to help up-and-coming professionals learn and rise in the pharma marketing/advertising industry. It’s fair to say we’re pretty proud of — and grateful for — this OG Intoucher’s good-natured leadership.
